River Garden Gala
featuring The Rogue Valley Brass Quintet
Music by the Mountain’s programs for our local community are funded in large part by our loyal patrons and donors. In appreciation and as an opportunity to help fund future endeavors, Music by the Mountain is once again hosting a River Garden Gala at Dunsmuir Botanical Gardens this summer on Sunday, July 31st. Our concert this year features The Rogue Valley Brass Quintet, composed of leading brass musicians in the Rogue Valley, all current or former members of the Rogue Valley Symphony. Members of the quintet also play in the Ashland City Band and the Rogue Valley Symphonic Band.
Gates will open at 4:00 p.m. in the Botanical Gardens by the Sacramento River. Participants are invited to wander through the silent auction and visit with friends while enjoying a glass of wine and substantial hors d’oeuvres, catered by Pipeline Craft Taps and Kitchen of Mt Shasta. The musical portion will open with a brief performance by this year’s Carol Medrano Memorial Scholarship winner, followed by The Rogue Valley Brass Quintet at 6 p.m. Seating and tables will be available for guests, courtesy of Dunsmuir Rotary Club.
